ABSTRACT
Background: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is being used more frequently in patients with lesions or TCI trivascular since it has better drug-eluting stents, despite the Cardiac Revascularization (CR) has been treating choice historically.
Objective: To compare the results of PCI vs CR in patients with LMCA or trivascular disease.
Material and Methods: retrospective, descriptive study realized in UMAE No. 71 IMSS Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. We collected socio-demographic data of patients undergoing PCI or CR through clinical records for the last 3 years, with inclusion criteria trivascular disease or left main coronary artery disease (LMCA) disease diagnosed by coronary angiography, to assess prognosis through the SYNTAX score and survival at 12 months. Statistical package used Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS, v15.
Results: We analyzed 20 patients with LMCA disease or trivascular disease, obstructive lesion ≥ 50% demonstrated by coronary angiography, DS age 59 ± 9.8, 6 (30%) and women (70%) males. Smoking was (100%), 7 Diabetes, 13 hypertension, 8 dyslipidemia. A 10 patients were practical (ICP) and 10 RM. Regarding the SYNTAX Score, ICP = score› 33, 5 (25%) patients with MRI score› 33, 4 (25%). Individuals ICP with syntax score high in relation to MRI. There was only one death.
Conclusions: CABG subjects survived at 100% at 1 year.
