ABSTRACT
Menstrual cycle disturbances are one of the most common reasons why women go to the doctor’s office. It is difficult to define menstrual disorders due to large physiological variations of the menstrual cycle. Amenorrhea is considered one of the menstrual disorders, along with the dismoenorrea and abnormal uternie bleeding. Hypothalamic abnormalities is one of the four root causes of amenorrhea. The objective of this review is to define amenorrhea secondary to weight loss and the treatment of this entity.
