Liver-duodeno-anastomosis, technique of choice for the treatment of choledochal cyst? Long-term monitoring. An agency study

ABSTRACT

The treatment of Choice of choledochal cyst is the resection of the cyst and a enterobiliary reconstruction. Most of the authors prefers the hepatico-jejuno-anastomosis with Y of Roux instead of hepatico-duodenum-anastomosis because of less ascendent cholangitis. We think that this isn’t true. We show our results in 15 patients with hepatico-duodenum anastomosis, which were operated in three different institutions in our country , with a follow up of 8 years and without documented cases of ascendent cholangitis. We think that this technique most be re-considered as a useful technique for the treatment of choledochal cyst
