ABSTRACT

We present a 34 years old male referred to the Ocular Echography Department with diagnosis of total cataract, for evaluation of posterior pole and IOL calculation.
The echography study showed a ciliary body mass compatible with adenoma. A fine needle aspiration biopsy was unable to establish the diagnosis. For this reason an incisional biopsy under local anesthesia was programmed. The block of tissue was sent to the Pathology Service of our Hospital establishing the final histopathological diagnosis of adenoma of the nonpigmented ciliary body epithelium.
