ABSTRACT
Severe craneoencephalic trauma is a serious problem of public health. Every year, in the world 1’000,000 of people victims of cerebral traumatic lesions die and a number similar of survivors remains with disabling sequels. Fortunately, it is observed promising perspectives regarding the surveillance and the therapeutic modalities of the traumatized brain that they will allow to diminish the morbidity and mortality of this suffering. In this work, the current and future treatment strategies are revised with base on the clinical evidences that help to the medical team involved in the initial attention of this suffering, to make right decisions and with it to improve the prognosis of this group of patient.
