ABSTRACT

An updated classification of cryptorchidism is presented and a guide for its diagnosis by pediatricians. In the author’s experience with 1,180 cases, the testicles are classified according to their position and their size. This paper discusses which patients can be treated surgically and which ones require hormonal treatment.
