ABSTRACT
Tuberous sclerosis is a dominant autosomal inherited disease clinically characterized by mental retardation, seizures and angiofibromas. Facial angiofibromas start with erithematous papules in patients between 4 and 10 years old, and grow progressively. They are present in 70 to 83% of the cases and spread on the nose, nasolabial folds and chin. Facial angiofibromas are anti esthetic, produce bleeding, cutaneous infections because of the difficulty to clean between vegetative lesions, and nostril and vision obstruction. Several treatments have been proposed like shaving excision in the first step and dermabrasion second step; carbon dioxide laser resurfacing with some side effects, cryosurgery and argon laser. A case with resection and coagulation of the lesions in one step with very satisfactory results is reported.
