ABSTRACT
The club-foot is one of the most common congenital deformities of the lower extremity and 20% of them are associated to a muscular illness. There are multiple anatomic-functional alterations in the leg and foot. We made a retrospective, longitudinal, clinical and surgical study from September 1
st 1993 to November 30, 1997. They were 37 patients, 24 male and 13 female, 13 of the left foot and 17 of the right. Seven cases were bilateral. The age average of the patients was 1.8 years. The follow-up average was of 1.10 years. The patients were operated on according to the technique described by Turco. Results were classified according to Green and Lloyd Roberts. Results were excellent or good in 23 patients and fair in the remaining 14. We know that in spite of all the efforts, it is impossible to cure the deformity completely.
