ABSTRACT
Introduction: elastofibroma dorsi is a rare tumor of the soft tissues of the chest wall. Its most common location is periscapular, between the fourth and sixth decades of life, with an estimated prevalence of 2%, predominantly in women. Clinical case: a 60-year-old female patient presents with a five-year-old bulge in the right scapular region. On examination: mass with a rubbery consistency in the lower angle of the right scapula, measuring 7 × 5 cm, not painful on movement. Computed tomography (CT) confirmed bilateral elastofibroma dorsi. Conclusion: elastofibroma dorsi is a degeneration of collagen fibers with excessive proliferation of elastic fibers.REFERENCES
