ABSTRACT
Riga-Fede ulcer is a benign traumatic self-injury in the oral mucosa, it is associated with natal, neonatal, supernumerary teeth or the eruption of primary lower incisors. We present the clinical case of 8 month and 28 days old female patient who presents a whitish ulcerative exophytic macular lesion with well-defined edges on the ventral surface of the tongue, approximately 20 mm long × 14 mm wide, painful on palpation and with the presence of bleeding to touch, which was treated conservatively. Its study is important to prevent traumatic injuries and other associated alterations in the oral cavity that can lead to a nutritional deficit in pediatric patients or other pathologies and complications that would affect their general health.
