ABSTRACT
The knowledge about pulmonary hypertension (PHT) is important for pneumologist and all medical staff involved with this kind of patients. Apart of the clinical assertiveness, is really important to have another methods, which support the diagnosis and to evaluate the patients evolution. Radiological image is just the study that is helpful for the clinicians for their different modalities, as simple chest radiographs, computed tomography scanner, echocardiography and magnetic resonance image. Angiography is useful yet for its principal role in the evaluation of this pathology, including the repercussions, the problem with this method, because is an invasive. It is worth to say that radiological diagnosis offer multiples diagnostic possibilities, which support the PHT diagnosis and suggest the possible a possible aetiology. The corresponding findings that will support the diagnosis options depend on the image study modality. For instance, the diagnosis of PHT can be based on chest radiography, for example, when an interlobar artery wider than 17mm, or an angiotomography incision, when the calibre of pulmonary artery main trunk is considered wider than 29mm with a right pulmonary branch with a calibre wider than 21mm.REFERENCES
