Correlation between Socio-family Factors and Burnout syndrome in Residents and Physicians of a Family Medicine Unit in Ciudad Obregon Sonora, Mexico

ABSTRACT
Objective: To determine the correlation between socio-family factors and burnout syndrome in residents and doctors of UMF No.1 Methods: An observational, analytical, prospective and longitudinal study was carried out in 62 resident and base doctors of the specialty of family medicine in UMF # 1 to which a general data survey, MBI test, FF- SIL, GraffarMéndez and IPAQ. Obtaining frequencies and percentages for the qualitative variables, measures of central tendency and dispersion for the inferential analysis. Spearman's ρ (Rho) to determine the correlation and Chi square to determine the association. Results: The female gender, overweight and not having a partner predominated in the population studied. In the female gender, an OR of 0.952 was obtained with a CI of 0.890–1.019 with a P of .455 *, Spearman's ρ (Rho) gave us (-0.2151) age, (0.036) physical activity and (-0.126) functionality; It has been seen that the Burnout syndrome has a high prevalence of 45.2%, finding that 46.8% present emotional fatigue, 51.6% depersonalization and 62.9% suffer from low personal fulfillment. Conclusions: There is no association between socio-family factors and burnout syndrome in the studied population, if a low positive correlation was found with socioeconomic status and a low negative correlation with age, physical activity and functionality.REFERENCES
