ABSTRACT
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has brought with it both immeasurable damage to humanity and countless clinical and pathophysiological questions in the medical field, with mucocutaneous diseases being some of the most visible, but the least studied. In this article we present a bibliographic review that includes the histopathological findings published in 70 articles concerning dermatoses associated with COVID-19, among which two main patterns stand out: that secondary to thrombotic vasculopathy and that associated to nonspecific mixed inflammatory infiltrate. Without a doubt, it is necessary to delve further into the possibility that these findings can be translated into prognostic and therapeutic factors for affected patients.
