ABSTRACT
Lipomas are the most common mesenchymal tumors in soft tissues, composed of mature adipocytes, are common in the trunk and extremities, in the oral cavity the most frequent sites are the parotid gland and buccal mucosa. Clinically they appear as soft, mobile and painless masses, sessile to ovoid, with gradual growth, covered by normal mucosa and with a course of more than 3 years in 73% of the lesions. We present the case of a 56-year-old female patient with a lipoma on the upper lip. The tumor is obtained through a small incision making compression of the lesion.
