La reperfusión en el infarto del ventrículo derecho

RESUMEN
El reconocimiento del infarto del ventrículo derecho es importante ya que define a una entidad clínica que se asocia con una importante morbilidad y mortalidad. La oclusión aguda de la arteria coronaria derecha proximal y sus ramas ventriculares provocan disfunción ventricular derecha. A pesar de que la función ventricular derecha mejora espontáneamente aun en ausencia de reperfusión, la recuperación puede ser lenta y estar relacionada con un incremento en la morbilidad y mortalidad intra-hospitalaria. La terapia de reperfusión puede ser iniciada en forma temprana aumentando la probabilidad de recuperación del ventrículo derecho y mejorando la evolución clínica y la sobrevida.
