Lesión del ligamento cruzado anterior

RESUMEN
El ligamento cruzado anterior(ACL) es uno de los cuatro ligamentos principales de la rodilla, el cual cumple en particular con la función de estabilizar la articulación, evitando que la tibia se deslice hacia adelante con relación al fémur y está compuesto por dos haces ligamentarios. Para la elaboración de este artículo se hizo una revisión bibliográfica sobre diferentes tópicos íntimamente relacionados con el ACL, en los que se incluyen bases anatómicas, factores de riesgo, mecanismos de lesión, lesiones concomitantes, cuadro clínico, diagnóstico, tratamiento y prevención con el objetivo de conocer y realizar correctamente tanto el diagnostico como el tratamiento de lesiones de ACL, facilitando así su correcto manejo y evitando errores médicos.
