Problemas nutricionales en pacientes con enfermedades neurológicas

RESUMEN
Las enfermedades neurológicas, tanto agudas como crónicas, se han convertido en uno de los principales problemas de
salud debido al incremento en el número de accidentes, enfermedades cerebrovasculares y demencia, entre otras. La terapia
nutricional adecuada es esencial para la recuperación de los pacientes con enfermedades neurológicas. La evaluación y los
requerimientos nutricionales son diferentes para cada patología y dependen de las características clínicas y posibilidades
del individuo. El artículo presenta una revisión de los aspectos nutricionales más relevantes.
