RESUMEN
El tromboembolismo venoso es
la complicación prevenible más
frecuentemente adquirida intrahospitalariamente.
Factores del
paciente, del procedimiento o
causa de internamiento están
directamente relacionados al
riesgo de tener dicha complicación.
En cirugías, como la bariátrica, los
pacientes usualmente presentan
comorbilidades asociadas como
obesidad, al igual que hepatopatías
e hipertensión arterial, entre otras
afecciones, las cuales los colocan
en una categoría de alto riesgo
de tromboembolismo venoso,
razón por la cual resulta esencial
establecer un método particular
de prevención diseñada para
el paciente sometido a cirugía
bariátrica.
