Trasplante de menisco

RESUMEN
El trasplante de menisco alogénico representa la solución biológica para los pacientes con deficiencia meniscal que han desarrollado cambios severos hacia la osteoartritis. Estudios recientes han mostrado buenos resultados en el alivio del dolor y la mejoría funcional en pacientes postrasplantados de menisco. Los estudios se han hecho a corto y mediano plazo, incluso a largo plazo hasta los 10 años de seguimiento, encontrando de buenos a excelentes resultados. Sin embargo, para obtener buenos resultados es necesario una buena selección de pacientes, un proceso de rehabilitación riguroso así como una buena técnica quirúrgica del procedimiento.
