RESUMEN
El objetivo de nuestro estudio es presentar los resultados preliminares del vástago no cementado y encerrojado en la cirugía de revisión (IRH) implantados en el Hospital Vall d´ Hebron de la ciudad de Barcelona, en 45 pacientes (47 caderas), 24 derechas, 19 izquierdas, 2 bilaterales, 31 pacientes del sexo femenino y 14 del sexo masculino, con una edad media de 68.7 años, con un seguimiento promedio de 27.5 meses (9-48 meses de rango), obteniendo excelentes o buenas evaluaciones postoperatorias con la escala de Merle D´ Aubigne y Postel hasta la fecha, dentro de las complicaciones que tuvimos son la fractura transoperatoria de la osteotomía trocantérea en 5 casos, fractura diafisaria en 1 caso, 1 infección superficial de la herida quirúrgica y 1 migración del perno distal; los resultados obtenidos hasta la fecha son satisfactorios tanto clínica como radiológicamente, destacando ventajas en la estabilidad del anclaje primario, anulando el hundimiento o migración del vástago observado en otros implantes no cementados, restauramos la dismetría y el equilibrio muscular (pelvitrocantéreo), disminuyendo el tiempo de hospitalización y recuperación, y gracias a su cubierta total de hidroxiapatita se ha observado un anclaje secundario de integración biológica con regeneración de la pérdida ósea.
