Pregunta 1: ¿Se puede utilizar antibioticoterapia por vía oral en lugar de intravenosa para el tratamiento inicial de una infección articular periprotésica (IAP) inmediatamente después de retirar el implante?
Consenso: Existen evidencias para apoyar la antibioticoterapia oral como una opción en el tratamiento de la IAP por su alta biodisponibilidad y porque puede atacar específicamente al agente patógeno.
Voto de los delegados: de acuerdo, 79%; en desacuerdo, 11%; abstenciones, 1%. (Consenso fuerte.)
