RESUMEN
La lumbalgia es una patología
muy frecuente, que se presenta
en diversas etapas de la vida, sin
embargo afecta más a las personas
conforme aumenta la edad (24).
Es importante, que a pesar de
que muchas lumbalgias resuelven
espontáneamente, tener en cuenta
las llamadas “red flags”; las
cuales hacen referencia a signos
y síntomas que pueden significar
enfermedades sistémicas o
lesiones a nivel local que requieren
de mayor intervencionismo, o
que pueden significar lesiones
neurológicas. Por este motivo,
se debe analizar al paciente de
manera adecuada, para brindar un
tratamiento efectivo, en ausencia
o presencia de dichos signos, o en
caso necesario iniciar estudios de
gabinete.
