Alteraciones neuropsicológicas en neuropatía motora multifocal con bloqueo de conducción

RESUMEN
Introducción: La neuropatía motora multifocal con bloqueo de conducción (NMMBC) es una entidad rara de causa autoinmune caracterizada por debilidad asimétrica distal de predominio en extremidades superiores, arreflexia y atrofia muscular.
Caso clínico: Hombre de 31 años con NMMBC de inicio en la infancia con alteraciones cognitivas y psico-conductuales evidenciadas desde la adolescencia.
Conclusiones: La presencia de anticuerpos anti-gangliósido GM1 explica no sólo el síndrome neuropático, sino también las alteraciones neuropsicológicas, dado que los GM1 existen también a nivel central.
