Ejercicio físico sistemático y sus efectos sobre la concentración de triacilgliceroles, C-HDL y parámetros respiratorios y metabólicos

RESUMEN
El ejercicio físico sistemático ha mostrado ser efectivo en reducir los factores de riesgo de morbilidad y mortalidad para enfermedades metabólicas y cardiovasculares en la población general e incluso entre la población físicamente activa. Actualmente, el sedentarismo se considera uno de estos factores de riesgo, por lo que muchas asociaciones médicas han propuesto practicar diariamente y sin demora el ejercicio de manera sistemática, aunque no existan razones médicas. De los diversos factores de riesgo, aquí se describe cómo participan la obesidad y el sedentarismo; asimismo, cómo el ejercicio modifica el perfil de los lípidos aterogénicos y en consecuencia la salud cardiovascular. Se presentan algunos resultados experimentales obtenidos de población entrenada y no entrenada, los que demuestran que el colesterol de las lipoproteínas de alta densidad HDL y los triacilgliceroles en plasma son factores de riesgo válidos aún en personas físicamente activas y que la medición del intercambio respiratorio puede ser un buen indicador de salud cardiorespiratoria.
