Tiroiditis silenciosa recurrente. Informe de dos casos en pacientes jóvenes

RESUMEN
La tiroiditis silenciosa o indolora es una causa poco frecuente de tirotoxicosis y las recurrencias son raras e impredecibles. Reportamos el caso de dos mujeres jóvenes que presentaron tiroiditis silenciosa recurrente. Cabe destacar que en muchos pacientes el diagnóstico es difícil y los episodios recurrentes son poco frecuentes. Después de analizar los posibles factores involucrados en las recurrencias, proponemos que este tipo de pacientes continúen su vigilancia a largo plazo ante la posibilidad del desarrollo de hipotiroidismo definitivo o de tiroiditis postparto.
