Efectos locales indeseables con el uso de aerosoles nasales y bucales en pediatría

RESUMEN
Se presentan los efectos locales indeseables obtenidos con el uso de aérosoles por vía bucal o nasal en 337 niños, los cuales fueron tratados con cromoglicato de sodio o con dipropionato de beclometasona. La edad de los pacientes osciló entre 3 y 12 años de edad. El tiempo mínimo de tratamiento fue de 9 meses. Los principales efectos indeseables fueron con el bucal, mal sabor del medicamento y con el nasal, resequedad e irritación local. El porcentaje de efectos locales indeseables fue de 2% y 6% respectivamente. El estudio hace concluir que estos aérosoles utilizados en edad pediátrica, presentan mínimos efectos locales indeseables.
