Presión intraabdominal en preeclampsia

RESUMEN
Introducción: Considerando a la paciente con preeclampsia como una paciente crítica, es importante conocer si existe hipertensión intraabdominal, ya que el aumento de ésta se asocia con una serie de consecuencias fisiológicas adversas sobre las funciones circulatoria, respiratoria, renal, gastrointestinal, hepática y sistema nervioso central.
Objetivo: Medir y comparar la presión intraabdominal entre pacientes con embarazo con preeclampsia y embarazo normal.
Material y métodos: Se trata de un estudio comparativo de casos y controles donde se incluyeron al azar a 51 pacientes embarazadas, 25 pacientes con embarazo normal y 26 pacientes con embarazo con preeclampsia. Se midió la presión intraabdominal a ambos grupos a través de sonda vesical y se comparan los resultados entre sí.
Resultados: Las pacientes con preeclampsia tienen hipertensión intraabdominal en comparación con el grupo de pacientes con embarazo normal.
