Tumores del ángulo pontocerebeloso de grandes dimensiones. Posibles causas de diagnóstico tardío

RESUMEN
Los tumores del ángulo pontocerebeloso constituyen una de las principales neoplasmas intracraneales. Su diagnóstico temprano es ideal pues cuando es tardío son de gran tamaño y causan daño a las estructuras vecinas, a falta de información hace que sean referidas tardiamente a un servicio adecuado. En nuestro servicio recibimos pacientes con tumores de gran tamaño con audición pérdida 50% y afección de otros pares craneales. El 39% acudió de 1 a 5 años de la aparición de los síntomas. Es importante que la información se difunda para que los pacientes acudan en forma temprana a un tratamiento adecuado.
