Manejo Anestésico de la Cirugía Vascular Periférica

RESUMEN
La enfermedad arterial periférica, definida como una patología de los vasos sanguíneos periféricos que limita el paso de la sangre a los tejidos (afectando principalmente extremidades inferiores), tiene una prevalencia del 10% en personas mayores de 60 años. Su tratamiento resulta en la mayoría de los casos quirúrgico. Al conocer los aspectos demográficos y las patologías co-existentes de los pacientes que ingresan al quirófano, nos daremos cuenta del panorama integral, ya que, en la mayoría de los casos, la patología arterial periférica, resulta un reflejo de una serie de afecciones sistémicas. Existen varias técnicas anestésicas que podemos ofrecer a éstos pacientes, es por eso que en este articulo se exponen las ventajas y desventajas de la anestesia general y la regional, así como estudios que apoyan una u otra .
