Patogenia microbiana: Conceptos básicos en la interacción hospedero-microorganismo.

RESUMEN
En este trabajo se revisan los conceptos básicos de las interacciones entre un hospedero y un microorganismo en el contexto de la patogenia microbiana. Se presenta la teoría de Casadevall y Pirofski, que se basa en el daño provocado al hospedero como resultado patológico de la interacción. Además, se proponen algunos conceptos que permiten mejor comprensión de estas interacciones. Se tuvo como propósito unifi car criterios respecto de los conceptos básicos de la patogenia microbiana empleados por estudiantes y profesionales de la medicina veterinaria.
