ABSTRACT
The experience in surgery for replacing mitral valve with a technique involving extracorporea circulation, without pressing the aorta and with a beating heart is related. Mortality results in 30 patients (5%) surprasses the 12% expected mortality, according to Pearsonnet Scale, and 5.8% according to Euroscore.
