Newborn with cardiac tumor

ABSTRACT

We present a clinical case of cardiac tumor that is diagnosed in intrauterine life. The echocardiogram study at birth shows multiple and large tumors with localization in the ventricular septum and free walls of both ventricular cavities and in the right atrium. Due to the size, location and myocardial intramural extent of the tumors, it is considered not a candidate for surgery. During his medical assistance in hospital he presented with difficult heart rhythm disorders with severe hemodynamic deterioration due to heart failure and died.
