ABSTRACT
The authors make a review on the traditional training methods that have been used in surgical endoscopic. The different social changes that have limited these methods are analyzed. The different alternatives that have appeared are commented. The authors emphasize the particular socioeconomic conditions that exist in Mexico. It is concluded that in this country it is necessary to apply methods that are effective, safe, and without an excessive cost.
