Organizational resilience. a construct to empower companies

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Resilience is a dynamic process that encompasses positive adaptation in adverse and unfavorable environments. Today, people face internal and external changes in their work environment and resilience could be shown as the key resource in promoting their adaptation and well-being in recovering from highly demanding situations. Objective: To systematize concepts of resilience from a psychological perspective. Material and method: A review of 30 updated bibliographies in periodicals indexed in different databases was performed. Results: Organizational Resilience is the result of processes that help companies maintain resources in a sufficiently flexible and sustainable way over time to avoid less adaptive trends and face the unexpected in a positive and efficient way. Currently, the Organizational Resilience Scale is validated in Cuba with the authorization of its author, Dr. Marisa Salanova. Conclusions: Resilience empowers companies to respond effectively and fosters opportunities to act quickly and efficiently in situations of threat and crisis, organizational resilience is a key competence of any organization.REFERENCES
