ABSTRACT
Brunsting-Perry pemphigoid is considered a localized subtype
of scarring pemphigoid. It is characterized by subepidermal
blisters predominantly on the head and neck, rarely affecting
mucous membranes. These blisters can heal with atrophic scars.
It is a rare and clinical manifestations are usually nonspecific. Sequels
such as scarring alopecia can be observed when the scalp
is involved. Immunofluorescence shows linear deposits of igg
and c3 along the basal membrane. Recently it has been reported
the identification of autoantigens directed not only towards
elements of the lamina lucida, but also to the sublamina dense,
linking it as a variant of other subepidermal bullous dermatoses.
We present a 57-year-old male with diagnosis through histopathology
and immunofluorescence.
