ABSTRACT
The lingual thyroid is the result of an aberrant embryological development that sometimes goes unnoticed until late
adolescence or early adulthood, its diagnosis is important because it may be the only functional thyroid tissue present in
the body, and be inadvertently rendered useless. a 10 year old female patient with a lingual thyroid.
