ABSTRACT

Clinical and physiopathological issues of the epilepticus status in children are reviewed. Steps to follow-up in the management of this problem in a hospital is suggested. Recommendations are made for the employment of medications and the alternatives that the pediatrician has before the ineffective answer of some medication.
