ABSTRACT
Unlike other dental specialties, orthodontic treatments have duration of one year and a half to two years, appointments are scheduled regularly every month, so it is important to keep a photographic control of the progress of the treatment. Standardization is essential to maintain a high quality clinical photograph, so it is necessary to follow a certain photographic sequence and parameters to be able to standardize a complete photographic series. The clinical photography in orthodontics is an indispensable tool for the clinician since it allows an adequate diagnosis, communication with the patient, the treatment registration and sharing the cases with colleagues or if the case merits being able to make a publication.
