Análisis de beneficios que aportan los “Mapas de Conversación” en los pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus

ABSTRACT
Diabetes Mellitus, considered as the twentieth century global pandemic, is advancing despite the efforts of the Health Services. For 2013, the economic burden was estimated at 362.8 billion pesos in Mexico. The Health Region XI of the Jalisco Secretary of Health, serves in the municipality El Salto, 236 people with Diabetes, with a control percentage of 28%. The fundamental principle of the “Conversation Maps” is that the patient needs to feel more comfortable when he assumes the responsibility of controlling his suffering. Objective: To analyze the benefits that the application of the “Conversation Maps” provides in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. Material and Methods: Patients with type 2 diabetes; over 20 years old, from the Salto Health Centers, from the GAM groups that agreed to join the project, were 55 people, applying the IMEVID questionnaire (Instrument to Measure the Lifestyle of the Diabetic patient), before and after the intervention measuring the metabolism results. Results: The glycosylated hemoglobin had an average of 6.32 percent before the intervention of the GAM and 5.93 percent with a value z = 1.48 where there was a significant difference. In the IMEVID questionnaire the result of the domains, before the intervention and afterwards had a value z = -1.92 having a significant value. Conclusions: The application of the IMEVID questionnaires, gave us a guideline to know the adherence and the knowledge of the patients, before the intervention and after, evaluating the educational intervention.REFERENCES
