How do we develop? Life in the first ten weeks of gestation

ABSTRACT

The story of each individual or ontogeny begins in the act of fertilization, when a germinal cell of the father, the spermatozoon, fertilizes a germinal cell of the mother, the ovum. However, for this event to occur, a series of processes must take place that allow both cells to meet. This article describes the most relevant events for this process to take place and describes the subsequent events up to the organogenesis period. The first ten weeks of life, from fertilization to the formation of organs and systems.
