ABSTRACT
The objective of this study is to investigate the balance between the professional and family life of women dentist surgeons with postgraduate orthodontics. The present study is descriptive and transversal; ours was 104 women with postgraduate studies in the specialty of orthodontics, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied. From the analysis of the information, among the main results it was found that the average age is 42 ± 10 years, in the family environment 59% of the specialists are married and 65% have children; While the professional field, the average number of hours in consultation is 6.5 ± 1.8 hours, 33% of orthodontists work in another job, 94% belong to a dental group or association and 32% said that if they have had any difficulty in the private practice of the profession for being a woman, among the most prominent are the organization of time in its various roles and activities with 44%, followed by the role of being a mother with 19%.REFERENCES
