Mucous Cutaneous Histoplasmosis in a HIV negative patient, responding to amphotericine B regimen

ABSTRACT
The Histoplasmosis is a systemic fungal disease, caused by the Histoplasma Capsulatum that usually affect internal organs as lung, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory mucous and paranasal sinus. It has, in addition, the capacity to haematic dissemination. We present a 47 years old patient, with negative HIV serology and without previous medical background, that complains for injuries in the central facial area since 2 months before. The lesions were constant growth and without answer to any therapeutic regimen. Is responsed ee evaluated different diagnoses and possible therapeutic regimens. The studies confi rm the clinical presumption arisen from the anamnesis of mucous cutaneous Histoplasmosis. The patient were treated with anfotericine B obtained a good results. It is our interest to present this case of diffi cult diagnosis because usually this disorder is associate to the HIV infection.REFERENCES
