ABSTRACT
A nasal septal abscess is defined as a collection of pus between the cartilage or bony septum and the mucoperichondrium or mucoperiostium. It is a rare condition and usually occurs secondary to a significant nasal trauma, it warrants an early diagnosis and an adequate treatment. The most common presentation is nasal obstruction and pain. We present a healthy patient with nasal septal abscess secondary to acute bacterial rhinosinusitis complicated with right orbital cellulitis, in which the initial suspicion was of a tumor.
