ABSTRACT
Coronary artery disease (EC) is the most frequent cause of death in all countries of the world. More than 7 million people die each year as a result of the ischemic heart disease, which corresponds to a 12.8% of all muertes3. What justifies the efforts to improve the quality of care, adherence to guidelines and research. Timely diagnosis of IAMCEST is key to success in their management. Primary angioplasty is the reperfusion strategy preferred for patients with STEMI, provided that it can be done quickly, by a team of experienced, within the recommended time limits, its limitation is their availability which in our environment is reduced. Fibrinolysis is strategically important and often the only alternative of reperfusion by what their early use must be prioritized. We present the case of a patient with IAMCEST and its treatment with fibrinolytic therapy.REFERENCES
