RESUMEN
La enfermedad coronaria (EC) es la causa más frecuente de muerte en todos los países del mundo. Más de 7 millones de personas mueren cada año como consecuencia de la cardiopatía isquémica, lo que corresponde a un 12,8% de todas las muertes3. Lo que justifica los esfuerzos por mejorar la calidad de la atención, la adherencia a las guías y la investigación.Un diagnóstico a tiempo de IAMCEST es clave para el éxito en su manejo. La angioplastia primaria es la estrategia de reperfusión preferida para pacientes con IAMCEST siempre que pueda realizarse en forma rápida, por un equipo experimientado, dentro de los plazos de tiempo recomendados, su limitación es su disponibilidad que en nuestro medio es reducida. La fibrinolisis es una estrategia importante y frecuentemente la única alternativa de reperfusión por lo que debe priorizarse su utilización temprana. Presentamos el caso de una paciente con IAMCEST y su tratamiento con terapia fibrinolítica.REFERENCIAS (EN ESTE ARTÍCULO)
