ABSTRACT
The incidence of cancer has increased over the years, as well as de the scientific and technological advances to study it. Therefore, a better detection and characterization of paraneoplastic syndromes, clinical manifestations of malignancy caused by the tumor, metastasis or treatment (particularly immunotherapy) has been achieved. In this review, the most representative syndromes of each system are highlighted, specially the small cell lung cancer and gynecological tumors that has been related to the great majority of these syndromes, some examples to emphasize are de Lambert-Eaton syndrome, the autoimmune encephalitis and carcinoid syndrome.
