ABSTRACT
Introduction: non-communicable chronic diseases constitute the pandemic of the 21st century, they affect millions of people around the world. Objective: describe the behavior of patients with a diagnosis of non-communicable chronic diseases in health Santa Rosa area, during the period January to July 2016. Method: it was made a cross-sectional descriptive study. The universe was formed by 3,108 patients. It was analyzed the district or municipalities of residence, the sex, the age, non-communicable chronic diseases diagnosed. The data were analyzed in Microsoft Excel 2010 system; and the results were expressed in percentages. In this research was carried out the established in The Declaration of Helsinki, Finland, of June 1964, with the updating of Edinburgh of October 2000 (World Medical Association, 18ath Assembly of ethical principles for the researches in human being). Results: The female and people older than 50 years were the most affected in a 61, 80 % and 50, 03 % respectively. The 32 % of the female sex suffered from Diabetes Mellitus, whereas in the opposite sex predominated gastritis with over 18 %. Conclusions: Guazacapan was the district with more people with probabilities to have non-communicable chronic diseases, it was seen more female cases than male in the patients studied in the village, the hypertension showed a bigger incidence, in the research there were a bigger percentage of these diseases in the patients from 50 years old and older.REFERENCES
