Mesenteric lipoblastoma

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Lipoblastoma is a rare benign neoplasm of embryonic adipose tissue, with greater presentation in pediatric age. The abdominal location is very rare, its etiology is unknown. The purpose of presenting the case is to review current concepts of this entity.
Clinical case: A 13-year-old female with a history of constipation, with abdominal pain of three days of evolution, palpating abdominal tumor in mesogastrium, mobile, slightly painful of 10 x 12 cm, defined edges. The abdominal mass was observed tomographically with a density of -130 HU with slight septa of 14 x 13 x 7 cm, undergoes exploratory laparotomy. Histologically, lipoblastoma is reported.
Conclusion: This entity must be considered within the differential diagnoses of abdominal tumors.
