ABSTRACT
Objective: to describe the professional and scientific performance of graduates in the Doctoral Program in Health Sciences, developed as an external site at the Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco University in Mexico, during the period 2004-2008.Method: Essential aspects of the PhD Program in Health Sciences and the professional characteristics of the 13 students enrolled were summarized. An opinion poll was applied on the courses received and the teaching performance to the 7 students who obtained the degree and a Questionnaire to the 11 teachers responsible for each module of the program.
Results: of the 7 graduate students, 4 responded to the survey, as well as 8 of the 11 teachers. It is interesting that the 4 respondents to the survey maintained a consistent trajectory with the training received, which is considered satisfactory. It recognizes the need to develop procedures or adapt existing ones, for the follow-up of graduates of the doctoral training processes in the field of health, which would allow to perfect the training and above all, to assure its quality.
