Orthodontic-surgical treatment in skeletal class III patient. Clinical case presentation

ABSTRACT
Clinical case of a 19 years old female patient who visits the orthodontic clinic of the
Centro de Alta Especialidad «Dr. Rafael Lucio» for consultation: «I bite my tongue, it bleeds and it thunders». In the diagnostic analysis she presents class III skeletal with laterognasia, bilateral molar class III malocclusion, canine class III right and canine class left not valuable due to the clinical absence of the upper canine. The treatment was performed in three phases: preoperative phase, surgical phase and post-surgical phase. The treatment time was 30 months. The result was successful, obtaining classes I canines and bilateral molars, adequate overjet and overbite, coincident median lines, correct occlusion and balance facial profile.
